Deepend has synchronized the launch of The Abbots Village Bakery Facebook page with an engaging ‘local treasures’ fan competition. The competition encourages fans to ‘like’ the AVB page and describe in 25 words a hidden treasure in their community. The prize is a trip to Daylesford where winners can stay in a rustic homestead with included local tours of food and wine purveyors.
After 2 days of Facebook Media the fan page has grown to close to 6000 fans, 84% of these within the target demographic. Due to the viral capabilities of social media, news feed items from the page have been viewed over 192,000 times.
The AVB page has been designed and developed to authentically represent the AVB brand via Facebook and compliment their experiential campaigns with online activity.
Abbott’s Village Bakery is the homestead style brand of GWF. They produce wholesome, nostalgic styles of loaf.
