Just launched last week – Cloud9IDE. It’s partly based on a Mozilla Labs project called Skywriter this is apparently the first full online IDE for web development. It integrates with Git and is inherently social.
I must admit I was pretty impressed with the initial try out. It seemed to work smoothly and responsively, although the project was very small. Any Eclipse user will know that initial feeling of speed wanes very quickly as the number of files in your project grows into the thousands. I’m certainly looking forward to giving it a bespin* on a real world project.
So we can all work from home now, right?
