Advances in technology, increased connectivity and new models of design are transforming the way experiences are delivered.
TECHNOLOGY trends in 2013 include the prediction that smart device sales will top one billion1 (more than the total global population), wearable technology will gain momentum – driven by advances in sensors and wireless technology, and that more everyday objects will become connected.
These trends mean that CONNECTIVITY is not only multi-screen, but between different devices or everyday objects, and between people and devices. For example 2 recent market research from McKinsey indicates an increasing desire for in-car connectivity.
These technologies provide opportunities for which DESIGN can provide solutions, and CREATIVITY can expand the boundaries of possibility.
Furthermore, a number of roles at agencies have changed as a reflection of these trends. For instance, according to the 2012 AIMIA & ADOBE Wed Design Survey results, 95% of respondents said that their roles as a designer has changed with an increasing amount of designers required to look after web sites optimized for mobile, web content management and creation of digital publications for tablets.
To prepare you for not only what the future holds in technology, connectivity and design, but also how these advances would impact your role at your agency, AIMIA & Adobe invite to attend Future of Creativity, Connectivity and Designevent taking place 9th April at Sydney KPMG.
