If you, like me, use Facebook as a way to meet people you otherwise may not have a chance to, or to network yourself into a connectivity stupor then chances are you will be suffering from Event-lag.

Up until now I have dreaded looking at my Facebook Events page as it seemed to be a never-ending scrolling time-consuming mess. Yes, I want to hear about events and go to events but I don’t want to have to continually click on ‘See more’.. But lo and behold today came the answer to my conundrum – Facebook has added a calendar! My events can now be seen in an orderly fashion – yippee hooray! Not only that but my friend’s birthdays will also come up in the calendar so never again will I have to suffer the awkward ‘sorry I missed your birthday’ post if I happened to not be able to get on Facebook that day (the phone app is still dismal – come on FB get it together on mobile!). I guess I’ll put off moving to Google+ for another month….
