The #MasterChef hashtag sometimes left the rest of the world a little bemused as it regularly rated in the top ten trending Twitter topics. Amongst the waves of Australian conversations about the show as it aired, there were always a couple of tweets from another part of the globe asking “what on earth is MasterChef?”
Google has released its annual Zeitgeist report, and the Australian reality television phenomenon MasterChef has added Google to its list of digital conquests, emerging as the top culinary trend globally.
