Social gaming company Zynga has launched the fastest-growing game in history with its new Facebook application CityVille. The city simulation game has even surpassed Zynga’s previous success story, the ubiquitous Farmville (yes – that annoying one all your friends’ mums play).

According to VentureBeat, continually producing new games is essential for Zynga to maintain its impressive lead in the social gaming industry, as social gamers are known to be fickle and drift from offering to offering more quickly than traditional gamers.
