Sam Shennan presents his new body of work “Treasure Island” at Blacklisted

Article originally published in: Backlisted Gallery

Sam Shennan (The UD3) and his inky fingers are back at Blacklisted with his latest body of work – so grab your eyeglass and join us on the good-ship Black Penny for a one week expedition to Treasure Island. A documentation of the discovery of unique critters and creatures which call the island home, this work is a homage to the future of the Pacific Garbage Patch; a landmass born of humans discarded treasures.

Sam’s incredible mind for the wonderfully obscure and an eye for detail has catapulted him as one of Sydney’s most sought after exhibiting and commission based artists. This is a show not to be missed.

The exhibition will take place at Blacklisted, an art gallery located on Bourke Street in Surry Hills; the event’s opening night will be on the first of July at six o’clock and it will be on until the seventh of July.

Sam Shennan was responsible for the art on our Shitbox Rally car ‘Mignon’; in addition, we were runners up for ‘Best Car Award’ and ‘Best Themed Car’ at the end of the rally. This is a great opportunity for people who are not familiar with Sam’s work to attend his exhibition and appreciate his talent.
