Last nights event Mad Pride presented by WEAVE Youth & Community Service was a great! The event was about creating awareness and breaking down the stigma associated with mental health experiences.
There was a fantastic atmosphere and great people at the event as well as some fantastic talent. From the minute you walked into the event it was joyful, full of laughs and colours. From the art on the walls, the colourful slushy and pure talent on the stage, the whole event was amazing.
The two talents that stood out for me where:
– Okenyo
– & Sabrina Soares
– Though, the Cool Kidz were pretty adorable with their dance routine.
October is Mental Health Month, for me it’s about the community, families and even businesses helping breakdown the walls and “making it ok to say you aren’t ok”.
