‘Hitchhike with a Like‘, is a social driven Facebook app for Volkswagen.

The aim of the game is to virtually Hitch a ride across Europe in a 21st Century Beetle. Gain points, unlock prizes and achievements as you travel from city to city. You’ll discover some unusual Beetles, 64 in total, each with their own unique style and sound track. Invite Facebook friends to join you on the map, this will increase the points haul and experience. There’s a wide range of prizes to be won, including a real Beetle trip across Europe.

Whilst the idea has been used several time before by Volkswagen (heres one example ), I still think that this app captures some of the rebellious and fun spirit of the original Beetle. Virtual Thumbs up and getting ready to hitchhike across europe!
