So French, So Chic… the best of French in Sydney this July

July is the party month in France and Sydney has caught-on!

Here are a few great events going on around town that will leave you with a great French feeling:

1. Alliance Francaise – Fete de la musique (festival of music) on Friday 21 June. This event normally goes on all night in Paris but you’ll get a good glipse at these crazy Frenchies loving their music here:

2. Bastille Day is on July 14th, but between Friday 12th and Sunday 14th from 10 am – 10 pm, custom’s house Square at Circular Quay is putting on the first Blue, Blanc, Rouge Festival.

A spectacular free live concert on Friday night will feature Bleu Blanc Rouge (BBR) ambassador, Rachael Leahcar (one of last year’s The Voice favourites) together with Ben Hazlewood and a few other musical surprises.

Hot DJ Georgina Sinclair will be spinning the beats on Saturday night for Sydney’s funkiest dance party at le bal du quatorze juillet.

During the day delicious French food from macarons to chocolates to mouthwatering savoury offerings together with a tempting range of French wines will be available throughout the BBR Festival. And special hands-on cooking sessions to learn the French art of croissants, brioche and bread making will be held from Friday to Sunday.

3. Bastille Day Celebrations at the Argyle

What better way to celebrate than with some francophones, for $25 you can see a live Cancan show and liqueur tasting (hopefully not at the same time). More info here: http://www.bastilledaysydney.com.au/

4. Batille Celebration at La Brasserie for those who’d rather be eating a great meal while watching a Cancan show.
