Heinz have done it again…
After making waves as one of the first FMCG brands to capitalise on the Fcommerce craze, they have now launched an augmented reality experience for iphone and android users via blippAR.
Simply hold your phone up to your heinz bottle to unlock a recipe book with meals that use that type of sauce, including video tutorials and step by step cooking instructions.
Consider this: tomato sauce is only remotely relevant to cooking, and yet they have still invested in this technology and are gaining widespread publicity from it… What about brands that actually focus on recipes? Why didn’t they do this first? Will they try to copy heinz now?
It pays to be switched on to digital innovation and jump on an opportunity before your competitors.
