Watch more video!

“In the first quarter of 2013, children aged 2 to 11 watched more than 112 hours of television per month, according to Nielsen”. That’s a lot of TV content and it’s not going down any time soon considering 4.5 of those hours are being played via the internet. Although Netflix, Disney, Nickelodeon and Amazon are all creating kids content for this hungry demographic, one wonders what parents are thinking…

Shahrzad Rafati, CEO of BroadbandTV Corp. in Vancouver, Canada, has a fantastic opinion:. Watch more video! Content should be used to motivate, energise, self-educate and a way to self-entertain rather than self-medicate. However, the future of content for kids and parents is about leveraging technology which allows us to curate so that we get to watch in a more satisfying manner.
