Foxtel turns tweets into chants

Users can submit their messages using the #sportingchants hashtag or on the brand’s Facebook page, and a group of sporting fans turn them into chants. Chants so far have included a plea for a husband and a classified ad for a second hand car.

The activation is part of Foxtel’s Olympic campaign. AnalogFolk is responsible for the creative thought and execution, which is extended into a search for the most popular sporting chant in Australia.

Foxtel is asking Australians to create a new national chant, film it and upload it to the website in a bid to replace the traditional “Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi” cry.

The winner will be decided by vote and will receive a $10,000 cash prize.
